At each Sunday Mass this month your deceased loved ones will be remembered and we invite you to place their names in the Book of Life located in the center aisle of the church. There should be a page for each family and blank pages are in the back of the book for those who haven’t yet started a family page. Please give your family name as a heading for the page.
Our Youth will be selling Jambalaya dinners (cooked by our Knights of Columbus) for $6 a plate this Sunday, November 8, 5-7 pm, in the Parish Hall. Proceeds will benefit the High School Youth 2016 Summer Trip. Please support our Youth and enjoy a delicious meal!!
All men of the Parish are invited to a Wild Game Feast on Saturday, November 7 at 2:30 pm in the Parish Hall. This event is hosted by our Knights of Columbus in honor of St. Hubert, patron saint of hunters. You do not have to be a KC or hunter to participate – just someone who enjoys good food and fellowship. We hope to see you there!

Please join us for the 29th annual St. Joseph Catholic Church Germanfest. Advance meal tickets are $6 each and are available from parishioners or by calling the Parish Office (601) 856-2054. Meals the day of the festival are $7 each. Parking is free. Visit the Country Store for a variety of homemade canned goods and crafts, the Dessert Booth will have your favorite German desserts and there will be lots of fun activities for the children! Join us this Saturday, August 23, 9:00 am in the Parish Hall for a beginner’s “Canning” class. This demonstration will show you the basics of canning items such as pickles, jelly, etc. All are welcome!
(For all parents of Confirmation candidates) – Sunday, August 9, 9:30 am, Youth Center. If your student is in the 11th or 12th grade and wishes to be confirmed this Spring, you need to attend this meeting to obtain information regarding our schedule of classes, retreats and paperwork. Classes begin Sunday, August 16, 9:30 am.
This Saturday, August 8 beginning at 8:00 am – we need many, many volunteers to help!! To our many new parishioners, this is a great activity for the entire family and a wonderful way to meet your fellow parishioners!! If you can’t make it at 8 am, please come as soon as you are available. (We are usually canning until about noon.)
