Bishop’s Directives 3/17/20

Dear St. Joseph Parish Family,

I received the following from the Bishop’s office a short time ago.   Please click on the link and read the Bishop’s message in its entirety as it addresses Masses, weddings, funerals, and ALL parish activities, as well as giving options for “attending” Masses remotely.  Also, please join me in entrusting our country and our world to the Blessed Mother and pray for this virus to stop its spread, and that those already affected be healed and made whole.

I will stay in touch through these emails and through the webpage.  Please check back in frequently for updates.

Yours in Christ,

Pam Minninger

Lay Ecclesial Minister

Dear All,

Bishop Kopacz has issued a new statement on Coronavirus on the diocesan website at:
http://2o1bb93uvms11ppwm32hemxj-wpengine.netdna-ssl.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Bishop_statement_suspensionofMass_3.17.2020.pdf

The statement suspends all public masses and parish gatherings until further notice. We will reassess the situation the first week of April in regards to the Sacred Triduum. The Diocesan Chrism Mass has been suspended. Please read the statement in its entirety as it addresses weddings and funerals.

We advise that parishes limit visitors to the parish offices during these next few weeks. The statement does not tell parishes to close offices. Some Chancery staff are working from home and chancery staff will not be on the road visiting parishes. If there is a need to do this in some parishes that is certainly at your discretion.

Thank you.

Mary Woodward
Chancellor
